MV Warrior Pusan Feb 1980

This is a quote from News letter No27

The "WARRIOR" arrived in San Diego on 15th January, to load a scrap cargo, which proved to be quite an event. The vessel suffered numerous damages, such as cracks in forepeak bulkhead,  No. 3 aft bulkhead holed, hatchcoarnings smashed out of alignment, to name but a few. The Shippers, who were also the Stevedores, were insolvent and have since gone into liquidation  leading to the threat  of
the vessel being arrested,  without  doubt  the charter proved to be a living nightmare. However, the eventual outcome  could have been far worse had the Master and his Officers not been so vigilant - our thanks to all concerned. The "WARRIOR" sailed from San Diego (I am sure with no regrets!!) on 30th January,  for Busan and Inchon. The discharge was less eventful and the vessel sailed from Inchon on 26th March for Nauru.
